In Blackjack, the objective is to try to beat the dealer by getting closer to 21. He does this by placing his bet in the designated space in front of his table position. Standard 52-card deck. BLACKJACK - If the player's first two cards are an ace and a 10 or face card, he wins. If the total of your hand is over 21, you'll bust and lose your bet. Blackjack beats a count of 21. The dealer must draw cards until they have at least 17 and must stand at 17 or higher. DOUBLE DOWN - The player is allowed to double the bet on his first two cards and draw one additional card only to improve his hand. Stand - If you are pleased with your first two cards, you would then stand and not draw anymore cards. If you have been dealt two cards and think that a third card may give you a chance to beat the dealer's hand, you can double down. If the dealer's down card is a 10 or any face card, the player wins 2 to 1. When you split two aces and one of your hands totals 21, this is not blackjack, it's 21. When you think that the dealer has blackjack, it gives you a chance to guard your bet. Once all players have decided to "Stand," the dealer reveals the face down card known as the "Hole" card. If you and the dealer both have blackjack, the game ends in a push. Surrender is not offered at very many online casinos.
