Before any cards are dealt, the player must wager. If the total value of your hand is closer to 21 than the dealer's hand, you win an equal amount to what you have bet. The dealer then deals two cards to each of the players, and two to himself (one of the dealer's cards is dealt face up and one is dealt facing down) Aces have a value of either 1 or 11, face cards as 10 and the cards that are left are valued as their face numbers. Stand - If you are pleased with your first two cards, you would then stand and not draw anymore cards. Once all bets are placed, each player and the dealer will receive two cards. Starting to the dealer's left side, the cards are dealt in a round one at a time to each player ending with the dealer receiving his second card face down. Split - If your first two cards are of the same value, you can split them into two separate hands by placing a second bet of equal value and drawing cards as usual. Any other card means a win for the dealer. Jacks, Queens and Kings always have a value of 10. If the dealer's hand is between 17 and 21, he or she may not draw any additional card. If you and the dealer both have blackjack, the game ends in a push.
