Blackjack Cards Games
Blackjack is probably the most popular of all casino and online casino games primarily due to the fact that, when played correctly, the odds of winning are about even with the house. If the total value of your hand is closer to 21 than the dealer's hand, you win an equal amount to what you have bet. If you have a blackjack hand, you win 3:2 times your bet (example - a $5 bet will win $7.50), as long as the dealer does not have blackjack. Face cards (kings, queens and jacks) count as 10, ace counts as one or 11 (as the player chooses) and all other cards are counted at their face value. BLACKJACK - If the player's first two cards are an ace and a 10 or face card, he wins. if the dealer has a blackjack, it is a standoff, as are all ties or pushes. A winning blackjack pays the player 3 to 2. Stand means no more cards (which the player signals by placing his cards under his wager or moving his hand in a horizontal direction. If your hand beats the dealer's hand, you win. Some casinos refer to hitting as draw. Stand - If you are pleased with your first two cards, you would then stand and not draw anymore cards. Double Down - Your bet is doubled and you draw only one more card. Starting to the dealer's left side, the cards are dealt in a round one at a time to each player ending with the dealer receiving his second card face down. Depending on the game, the player's are either dealt their cards face up or face down. If the dealer's down card is a 10 or any face card, the player wins 2 to 1. Card between 2 and 10 simply have their face value regardless of suit. SURRENDER - Where permitted, a player may give up his first two cards and lose only one-half his original bet. Insurance is not recommended and is considered a separate game/bet of its own. When you think that the dealer has blackjack, it gives you a chance to guard your bet. Play and win! The insurance bet would be at the price of half your original bet. Surrender is not offered at very many online casinos. When surrender is available, if you are not pleased with the cards you were dealt, you may give them up and lose half of your bet.
